Spiritual Care for Those Who’ve Served

You’ve worn the uniform. You’ve borne the weight. Now you’re navigating a life that isn’t always easy to explain—or even understand.

Here, you don’t have to explain. You are already understood.

A Chaplain Who Knows Veteran Culture

Much of my chaplaincy work has been—and continues to be—dedicated to serving veterans. From my first residency at a Veterans Affairs hospital in Tennessee to years spent walking alongside veterans from all branches of service, I’ve been privileged to support those who’ve served in deeply personal, often difficult, and profoundly human ways.

Veteran culture is unique. It carries its own values, language, strengths, and scars. It requires more than just compassion—it requires training, understanding, and lived experience walking with those shaped by military life. My work with veterans is rooted in that experience and guided by a deep respect for the sacrifices you’ve made and the journeys you've walked.

What We Can Work Through Together

I most often work with veterans who carry trauma from both military and civilian life. Many of the people I support come to me facing:

  • PTSD and Combat Trauma

  • Moral Injury—the deep pain that comes from actions (or inactions) that violate your core values

  • Military Sexual Trauma (MST)

  • Childhood abuse and complex trauma

  • Grief, loss, and unresolved sorrow

  • Addiction and recovery

  • Disconnection from family, community, or self

  • Spiritual struggle, loss of faith, or a yearning for renewed purpose

Whether you’re asking “Who am I now?” after separating from service, wondering how to make sense of what you’ve been through, or seeking a space to rediscover a spiritual path that feels authentic—you are welcome here.

Not Therapy. Not Preaching. Just Presence.

This isn’t clinical therapy. I’m not here to diagnose or fix you. And this isn’t religious counseling. You won’t be preached at or pressured to believe anything.

Instead, I offer a grounded, compassionate space where you can speak freely—or sit in silence. A place where your story is honored. A space where your strength and your pain are both held with equal respect. Together, we can explore what healing, meaning, and even wholeness might look like for you now.

Veterans Transforming Trauma into Resilience

Every day, I have the privilege of witnessing veterans transform their suffering into resilience. I’ve seen men and women who once felt broken begin to reclaim their power, reconnect with their values, and live more meaningful, vibrant lives. And in every session, I learn just as much from them as they learn from me.

Veteran Experience - A few words from Brynn…

Most of my career has been dedicated to serving veterans, from my first chaplain residency at a Veterans Affairs hospital in Tennessee to the present. Veteran culture is unique and takes specialized training. I most often work with veterans who have experienced trauma—in both military and civilian life.

Whether you come to me having experienced childhood sexual abuse, MST (military sexual trauma), combat trauma, grief and loss:

  • If you are asking, “Who am I now?” after separating from service

  • If you are seeking meaning and purpose in life

  • If you are struggling with addiction

  • If you are feeling disconnected from life, family, and friends

  • If you are looking for a space to rediscover and deepen a spiritual path

I am here for and with you.

This is the heart of my work with Veterans. Every day I have the privilege of witnessing Veterans transforming their suffering and trauma into resilience. What's more, I get to see them fully awaken to a more meaningful, vibrant life in the process. And I learn just as much from them as they do from me.

You are not alone.

Whether you’re carrying the invisible wounds of war, processing moral injury, grieving loss, or simply trying to figure out your next chapter—you are not alone.

This is a space for you. You are wanted here. You are safe here. And however you arrive, you will be met with respect, compassion, and care.
